Someone once said to me
"Life's a journey, enjoy the ride" I believe that to be true - The process is ultimately as important as the destination. 'Truth is I've already began this trip of learning new languages, I'm amazed at those that show their proficiency of various tongues and admire their appreciation of cultures other than theirs. Why have I chosen this path? To open myself to more opportunities, to have a richer travel experience, to embrace and experience other perspectives, and quite simply ...just for fun! :-)
The Goal
Presently, I've chosen to learn 4 languages -
Japanese,
Spanish,
French,
Chinese. A gargantuan task it may seem but I remain excited at the prospect of learning such lovely languages. There are several others I admire and open to learn, but the aforementioned will remain the focus for the next few years. The purpose of these posts are more to keep me on the path rather than just sharing biased details of study, travel, and life, on the internet. My goal is to inspire myself and any other who feel learning is a worthile endeavour. ;-)
